丸い石のテーブルを結合する
Description
ベルリン近郊のアトリエで、アーティストのヤクブ・クビツァが手作りで制作しています。それぞれのテーブルは、伝統とモダニズムの調和を瞑想的に表現しています。厚さ4mmのアルミ板を手作業で研磨し、蜜蝋で磨き上げ、3つの天然ベージュ砂岩の輪郭に沿って丁寧にカットされています。
この工程は、まさに畏敬の念を込めた行為です。金属は石本来の形に順応し、逆のことは起こりません。手作業で蜜蝋コーティングを施したアルミニウムは、時とともに柔らかな緑青を帯び、砂岩は地質学的な特徴をそのまま保ちます。
Mergeシリーズの他の作品と同様に、この作品も一点ものです。石の配置はどれも同じものはなく、それぞれのテーブルには番号が付けられ、アーティストのサインが入っています。
